We Love Being in “Kids’ Company”

Preschool Program

Preschoolers are rapidly building new skills, interacting socially with their peers, and learning how to effectively communicate and negotiate their needs and wants. The development of life skills as a preschooler is a very natural means for a child to development confidence and a strong, positive self-image. Independence is well established and curiosity about their environment needs to be challenged and supported with creative and exciting activities.

The Learning Experience Early Education Center offers preschoolers a program of cognitive growth through a hands-on, thematic approach where each child is an individual learner and encouraged to move and learn at his/her own pace.

The year begins with a professional developmental screening to see what the strengths and needs are for each child. The screening information will then tell the teacher how to incorporate specific skill development for each child, as well as the group, so that each child masters all developmental skills appropriate for this age group.
The long-range goal of the preschool program is to help develop and support confident and motivated learners as they prepare for the demands of the kindergarten year.

The preschool program maintains an adult-to-child ratio of 2 is to 15.

Pre-K Program

The pre-kindergarten year is a very important year to pull everything together for entry to kindergarten the next year. If your child has not been in school before this time, our Pre-K class will address issues such as developing a strong attention span, development of confident communication skills, support of age-appropriate learning concepts, ability to work cooperatively with other children and adults, and development of strong literacy skills, including recognition of letters and their phonemic sounds.

Social maturity is a prerequisite to a good transition to kindergarten, so many wonderful opportunities will be offered for your child to develop leadership skills, social responsibility, and a myriad of other life skills leading to personal independence.

While all of these skills are finalizing, our Pre-K program will make sure your child has plenty of opportunity for the creative arts, music, and physical activity.

The preschool program maintains an adult-to-child ratio of 2 is to 15.
